Our post high-school “Seminar” program is an academic women’s program for top Beit Yaakov graduates who wish to continue their religious education in a Charedi atmosphere, while earning an academic degree that will qualify them to work in healthcare or at the highest levels of Israel’s hi-tech sector.
Established in 2018, Ofek is equipped with modern laboratories and equipment. They currently offer degrees in computer studies, electronics, bio-technology, nursing and psychology. The students also enjoy lectures and seminars from top speakers on topics of spirituality and personal growth, and they volunteer with community welfare projects.
VRapeh YeRapeh – New Preparatory Program for Medical Students:
Launching in Fall 2022, this new program will help Charedi students to overcome the many challenges that they face in qualifying for medical school. Its name is taken from a Jewish prayer: “Heal us and we will be healed”. There is a clear need for religious doctors in Israel – both men and women – but no program currently exists to help talented Charedi students to enter the medical profession.
Our goal is to train 40 students each year in biology, chemistry and statistics, plus other skills necessary to apply successfully to Israel’s top medical schools. We are partnering with Machon Lev to provide evening classes twice a week, so that students can either learn or work during the day, and with the Kemach Fund to provide student scholarships.
