In the week that the Israeli Ministry of Education launched its national Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education project, the Netzach Educational Network immediately opened its AI Learning Center at Beit Yaakov Netzach Israel in Beit Shemesh.
This innovative new learning center is designed to show Haredi students how AI can be used wisely and safely. The instructors demonstrated how AI tools can help with independent research and entrepreneurship, and how to write prompts and use machine learning algorithms. The students used these tools to create a virtual escape room. They were helped by trainee teachers from the Lubavitch Girls Seminar led by instructors from Herzog College.
This exciting opening session was attended by senior officials from the Beit Shemesh Municipality and Israel’s Ministry of Education, including Rabbi Itzik Elmaleh, Deputy Mayor of Beit Shemesh; Moti Leitner, Deputy Mayor and Chairman of Derech; Ms. Ruthi Peretz, Head of ICT for Haredi schools; Ms. Chava Toretz, School Superintendent; and Ms. Yaffe Brandwein, Deputy Director of the Elementary Education Department in Beit Shemesh.
Michael Nechtiller, CEO of the Netzach Educational Network, welcomed the guests, saying: “Netzach continues to lead educational innovation in the Haredi sector, by providing advanced tools and helping our students to develop important new skills without compromising their religious values.”
