Exemplary Road Safety Demonstrations

All the Netzach Elementary Schools participated in Israel’s National Road Safety Education Week, and prestigious visitors from the Education Ministry came to visit Netzach’s Torat Chesed Elementary Schools to admire their innovative programs.

The school principal Mrs. Margalit Barhom, and acting principal Rabbi Yisrael Rieder, hosted Mr. Shai Calderon, Director of the State Charedi Sector at Israel’s Education Ministry; Mrs. Miri Gamliel, Inspector of the Charedi Division; and Mr. Itzik Malcha and Mr. Moshe Shapira, Inspectors of Road Safety  at the Ministry of Education.

The children presented impressive work and the educational staff shared their creative pedagogical education activities on the subject of road safety, with an emphasis on “Taking Responsibility on the Road”.  Educational coordinator Renana Ben Zaken explained how this theme had been integrated into a variety of academic subjects. The visitors saw impressive exhibitions in both the boys’ and girls’ schools, and observed interactive activities that created an atmosphere of experiential learning.

The students enjoyed various Road Safety activities such as an escape room, go-cart driving lessons, and a “revolving car” accident simulator (shown above) that demonstrated the importance of wearing seat belts. Students from the school’s student council presented a “Transportation Trustees” initiative, which aims to ensure order and safety in student transportation. The visitors were very impressed by the school’s innovative and experiential approaches to road safety.
