The Netzach Yisrael boys’ elementary school in Beit Shemesh was established in 2018 to provide an educational solution for the children of Olim (immigrants). They were looking for a combined education curriculum incorporating high-level Torah lessons alongside intensive secular studies. The goal of the school is to instill a love of Torah and mitzvot, and they employ innovative teaching methods to achieve this. The school is supported by the Beit Shemesh Municipality, and also by an enthusiastic community of parents.
In 2022, nine boys from the Talmud Torah were among 84 teams who qualified from among 400 schools to compete in the Israel National Finals of the 2022 FIRST Lego League Robotics Challenge. In the first round they won 2nd place for Robot Design and 4th place for Robot Performance. In the final competition they received a special prize as “Groundbreakers”. The students, aged 12 and 13, are members of the school’s after-school robotics club. Netzach was the first Charedi school in Israel to compete in this international competition.
